MIND magician Uri Geller pledged to help Scotland’s World Cup dream last night after he scuppered our Euro 96
 chances.
The famous spoon bender received hate mail after he claimed to use telekinesis to make skipper Gary McAllister miss a penalty against England.
Now he’s promised to use his powers to help us beat Estonia and Sweden in our qualifiers for France 98.
Last night Uri said: “I feel really guilty. I got a lot of nasty letters from Scotland and I reaised I had made a mistake.
“I shouldn’t have done it – not against Scotland.”
“So if Craig Brown wants me, I will be delighted to help.”
Uri, who claims to help three English premiership clubs, was in a helicopter over Wembley during the game against the Auld Enemy during the European championships last summer.
He said: “When Scotland won a penalty. I kept an image in my mind of McAllister missing it.
“I believe I was responsible for making the ball move forward from the spot.”
“I spoke to David Seaman after the match and he said it was incredible the way the ball just seemed to roll forward.”
Uri, who believes in the powers of ancient crystals, has promised to provide his services free for the Scotland squad.
The Reading supporter spoke to the players before their crunch game against Division One leaders Bolton on Saturday.

Crystal

And he thinks his team talk was instrumental in their 3-2 shock win. g1
He said: “I held Trevor Morley’s hand for a few seconds and he scored at hat-trick.”
“I even sneaked my little crystal in and buried it by the side of the pitch.”
And he offered to put the Scotland strikers in the crystal hotseat: “If they wish to sit in the chair, I will do my best to improve their fortunes.”
Last night Scotland boss Craig Brown was not available for comment.

“Uri Geller gave an absolutely resonating talk on his life and career. He had every single magician in the room on the edge of their seats trying to digest as much information as they could. Uri emphasized that the path to frame is through uniqueness and charisma and that professional entertainers must be creative in their pursuits of success and never shy away from publicity.”

The nails are real, the keys are really borrowed, the envelopes are actually sealed, there are no stooges, there are no secret radio devices and there are no props from the magic catalogues.”
