As many IQ readers will be aware, for many years I was a professional magician and for a short period claimed to be a genuine psychic. One of my most popular stunts was that made world famous by International Psychic Uri Geller, namely to bend spoons, forks, and keys apparently by Mindpower alone.

Using trickery and sleight of hand I would make the Impossible seem possible, and indeed I was sure this is how Uri did it to – But how wrong I was !!!

During 1996 I met Uri at a Book signing in Birmingham for his excellent Mindpower Kit, ( I bought one – use it regularly, and would strongly recommend it to all readers and members. )

That day Uri bent dozens of spoons, keys & forks, and what I witnessed amazed me, numerous items brought by the general public snapped into two within seconds of being touched by him!

Keys bent in their owners hands as Uri concentrated, and forks visibly twisted out of shape whilst held in only one hand, and in full view of the assembled crowd who like me – reaised they had seen something they would remember for the rest of their lives!

How does he do it? I don’t know – but in my opinion as a magician he is 100% GENUINE!!!  There was no trickery and no sleight of hand – Just an amazing Psychic at work!

Uri’s Background

Uri Geller was born on December 20th 1946 in Israel – his parents being of Hungarian & Austrian descent, aged 4 he had his first psychic experience, although it was not until the early 70’s that Uri shot to fame. From 1968 to 1969 he worked as a male model, appearing in many magazine adverts, and it was during this time that he began to demonstrate his amazing powers in public.

In 1972 he left Israel for Europe and the rest is history! He’s been scientifically tested by countless organizations including The Stanford Research Institute who concluded him genuine. 

He’s been the subject of a Ken Russell Film ” Mindbender” and in 1991 stopped BIG BEN in London by Mindpower alone a feat he has repeated twice since. He’s worked with the FBI & CIA and helped numerous sports stars achieve their full potential. 

Uri who believes we all have the potential within us to do these things has now released a book called ” Mind Medicine “ to help us mere mortals do just that. 

Co-authored with Lulu Appleton the book has a foreword by Andrew Wiel MD, and teaches the reader how to use visualisation techniques, and other mind expanding techniques to heal themselves, and others in all areas of life – in short its the ultimate self help book and a snip at £20 pound UK sterling.

Another recommended book is Uri’s latest novel ” Dead – Cold “ published by Headline Books and priced £9-99 its tells the intriguing story of Mikki a Famous Media Psychic who is suspected of being a fake by Professor Johannes  K. Ingham.

The Professor comes to a sorry end as he is burnt to death and yes all fingers point Mikki. This 240 page novel appears to owe much to Uri’s controversial life ( He’s often been accused of being a fake himself ), and is the most interesting and absorbing novel I’ve read in years.
