HOW I CURED MYSELF
Wexham Evening Leader
October 29, 1999
HOW MUCH SLEEP DO YOU NEED?
I need about seven hours.
WHAT DO YOU DO FIRST THING IN THE MORNING?
I fall out of bed and do some stretching exercises because I injured my back when I was a paratrooper and jumped out of planes 120 times. Many times I hit the ground very severely and it was a jolt to my body. For years I suffered with back pain, but I learned to cure that with a maintenance programme.
WHAT EXERCISE DO YOU TAKE?
An hour a day. I sit on my exercise bike and cycle 27 miles.
ARE YOU CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU EAT ?
Yes. I’m a vegetarian and I also try to avoid junk food.
ARE YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN OVERWEIGHT ?
I think I was but my wife doesn’t. I was bulimic, a disorder that was brought on by money. If I went out to eat, I wouldn’t even look at the dessert menu – I would order all the deserts, so they would line them up. And I would eat them all, then make myself sick. At one point I looked like an Auschwitz survivor.
DO YOU TAKE VITAMIN AND MINERAL PILLS?
I take all the multiples, plus 3,000 units of vitamin C a day. I believe it keeps bacterias and viruses away. I also take hair vitamins because I just don’t want to lose it. Why should I be bald if I can nourish my hair? And I take an anti-oxidant.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN HOSPITAL?
When I was wounded in the war. After I was injured, they left my hand in a cast for about a month, but then they decided to open up my arm and take out the bone. They removed all the shrapnel. With my willpower and Mindpower I cured myself. I also used to play basketball, just to get my hand working.
DOES YOUR JOB AFFECT YOUR HEALTH ?
On the contrary, it makes me happy
HOW OFTEN DO YOU CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR?
Because I’m very knowledgeable about sun damage and because my mother taught us that sunshine was good for you, I actually damaged my skin 45 years ago and now if I have little moles I go to the doctor to check those. Otherwise, I’ve never been sick.
DO YOU DRINK OR SMOKE TOO MUCH ?
I’ve never smoked and if I drink, it’s very little, maybe a glass of red wine occasionally. Moderate drinking is good for you.
DO YOU CATCH A COLD MOST WINTERS?
I never catch a cold.
DO YOU THINK YOU SUFFER FROM STRESS?
Not any more. I changed my character. I used to throw things at my secretary and lose my temper, but not now.
DO YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR SELF ?
Yes. I use vitamin E cream and sunblock.
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR BODY ?
I accept the way I look and the way I feel. I can’t complain. And inside feels good.
DO YOU TAKE MORE CARE OF YOURSELF AS THE YEARS GO BY ?
Yes, absolutely. I want to see my grandchildren and to continue helping others.

“The world needs your amazing talents. I need them”
“Uri Geller gave an absolutely resonating talk on his life and career. He had every single magician in the room on the edge of their seats trying to digest as much information as they could. Uri emphasized that the path to frame is through uniqueness and charisma and that professional entertainers must be creative in their pursuits of success and never shy away from publicity.”

“The man is a natural magician. He does everything with great care, meticulous misdirection and flawless instinct. The nails are real, the keys are really borrowed, the envelopes are actually sealed, there are no stooges, there are no secret radio devices and there are no props from the magic catalogues.”

“Eternity is down the hall And you sit there bending spoons In your mind, in your mind”
“I Have watched Uri Geller… I have seen that so I am a believer. It was my house key and the only way I would be able to use it is get a hammer and beat it out back flat again.”
“Better than watching Geller bending silver spoons, better than witnessing new born nebulae’s in bloom”
