From SKY NEWS
Michael Jackson is preparing to recreate his famous moonwalk, but this time it’s for real.
The reclusive pop star is teaming up with one of the members of the Apollo 14 mission to become the first pop star to be launched into space, according to his fansite MJStar.com.
Astronaut Edgar Mitchell was the sixth man to walk on the moon in 1971.
It is hoped that Jackson will receive training at NASA so that he can realise his dream of flying into space.
Close friend Uri Geller will also help the superstar prepare for the flight.
Spoon-bending
Jackson was best man when the spoon-bending psychic renewed his wedding vows last year.
The singer is set to release a new single, Unbreakable, on April 8 – the third single to be taken from his recent album, Invincible.
It was recently announced that Jackson had set up his own film production company, Neverland Productions.
The star also plans to co-direct new movie, Home Of The Angels with his friend Bryan Michael Stoller.
