Dear Uri
Before the more formal thank you letter goes out to you, I felt I had to write a quick and rather more personal note to say how very impressed I was with you – the person behind the amazing talent.
Yes, of course we all thought your show was fantastic!! (I can’t remember the last time the Prayer Hall was so packed – and I’ve been to many Bar Mitzvahs – nor when so many Jews were so silent and listened so intently without interrupting for so long!)
You must have realised that most of them turned up to see you – rather than to participate in races or watch the talent show!
But I was personally amazed at how such a famous person manages to remain so grounded and make a bunch of complete strangers feel so comfortable in his presence!!  Now for me this is truly amazing – and in this day and age quite refreshing!
You were a real sport staying behind to watch the children’s talent show. How special did you make these kids (and us) feel?!  and all at the expense of your family waiting for you patiently in the car. Really sorry about this.
So, that’s it from me.  You are a true gentleman!
