I listened to the Coast Insider show of last night’s Coast to Coast and was able

to start my Grandmother’s Helbros wristwatch. To my knowledge, it hasn’t

worked since 1958 when she died. My father tried having it fixed in the 1960s,

but they couldn’t fix it. It felt rusty when I turned the wind stem, so I had little

hope that it would work. I tried the exercise from the MP3 file and it worked!

It’s ticking and has continued ticking for the past 1/2 hour.

I tried it on my grandfather’s pocket watch, but it didn’t work. I’ll try again

later.
