Blue is not the hue for a Tangerine dream – Uri
By DOMINIC BALL
INTERNATIONAL psychic Uri Geller has said that the Seasiders will be feeling the blues at the end of the season – if they don’t change their away strip.
And Uri has even offered his services to Blackpool to design an alternative to the blue and white kit.
Uri, an expert in colour therapy, explained to the Gazette that while the orange home strip of the Seasiders is the perfect colour to get the players fired up, the away kit will leave them out in the cold.
He said: “Orange is the best colour for a team to play in because red is a physical colour and yellow is a mental colour, when you mix the two you get a very powerful force.”
Uri said the psychic energy of the colour means teams who play in orange are more likely to intimidate the opposition, be more attacking and score lots of goals.
And he cited Blackpool’s recent victory over Manchester City, at home, as an example of his theory in action.
He believes the colour scheme of the away strip is less than helpful.
“Reading wear blue and it is particularly bad,” said Uri, “It’s a healing colour and just doesn’t have the power of orange and it won’t fill the players with confidence.
“If the Blackpool players wear a blue and white strip they won’t get any help from their kit and will have to rely on their skill alone.”
Uri, more famous for his spoonbending than his soccer strips, offered to create the perfect kit for Nigel Worthington’s men.
He said: “If Blackpool asked me I would be happy to design a more effective away kit for the team.”
