URI GELLER has offered to use his special powers to help Spurs.
Spoon-bender Geller is ready to psych-up crisis club Spurs for new boss Christian Gross.
Geller believes he can turn Spurs into a top six club and get them into Europe THIS SEASON.
The Israeli mystic saw Spurs lose 1-0 to Crystal Palace on Monday after being invited by the club. Then he met new Swiss boss Gross, who is also keen on using mind games.
Spurs go to bottom-club Everton tomorrow and Geller said: “I could get Spurs into the top six and into Europe. Something has to be done to help them. There has to be a massive turnaround. They are very low.
“I have met Christian. He will be good for Spurs. He has a militaristic mind and will impose a strong regime.”
“If I was asked, I would definitely help. I would work on them in training, on their confidence and inner security.”
“I have helped many Premiership players and Formula One drivers.”
Geller, once linked with First Division Reading, has vowed he could make Spurs players communicate on the pitch by means of telepathy.
He revealed: “There are certain techniques you can use. One is a deep psychological energising of the players.
“They would become powerful on the pitch and almost telepathic.”
“They need to have that boost to their psychic energy. When I was young in Cyprus I helped a team who were struggling near the bottom. They ended up winning the league.”
“I was taken to watch the Palace match by someone at the club. I know people at the club, the directors, I know the chairman Alan Sugar.”
“I went away with a feeling about what has to be done. I met Christian and he had heard of me.”
“He is a super guy and I feel strength and confidence in him. But no one is a miracle worker, not even me.”
Message
Confident Gross intends to play his own mind games to lift Spurs.
Gross, whose side are three places off the bottom, said: “I have heard about Uri and I have met him but I will do it my own way. The first thing I did was to show my players a paper with the table on it.”
“I said ‘Look -this is where we are.’ I think the message got through.”
Gross had a picture of the Matterhorn behind his desk as Inspiration when he was in charge at Grasshoppers Zurich. He intends to use the same images at Spurs.
He said: “I will be using symbols and images. The players going to France in the World Cup, for instance. I want them to visualise the marvellous stadiums they are building out there.”
“They have to be there. But the only way they can is by playing well for me.”
