The concept behind UGA
Uri Geller Associates is a unique combination of the powerful talents of Uri Geller with the minerals industry expertise of well-qualified professional engineers and geologists from around the world. The concept behind the establishment of UGA is to assist the client with his search for minerals or oil by means of Uri Geller’s services to
indicate firstly those areas of a particular country or exploration region which have a higher potential for exploration success than others, and secondly, within the areas so delineated, to indicate those parts which show the best localised potential for the materials being sought.
Uri Geller Associates
Uri Geller is a well-known international figure who for nearly two decades has confounded the scientific community with demonstrations of his ability. More than ten books have been written about him, and his life story is told in MY STORY-the first volume of his autobiography, and THE GELLER EFFECT. His latest book is URI GELLER’S FORTUNE SECRETS.
Articles about him have appeared in most of the world’s leading magazines and newspapers, including Newsweek, Time, Forbes, Business Week, Stern, Paris Match, Der Spiegel, Omni, Nature, New Scientist, Science Digest, Science
News, The Times, The Sunday Times, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Japan Times, France Soir, Die Welt, the International Herald Tribune, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, International Mining and many more.
He has also made numerous television appearances in North, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
Uri Geller was introduced to the field of mineral exploration and mining in the early 1970s by Sir Val Duncan, then Chairman of Rio Tinto Zinc Ltd.
Tony Hammond is a mining engineer who after several years as Chief Mining Engineer to a leading international consultancy company, established his own consulting organisation. He has travelled widely, and has undertaken projects in countries which include Peru, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Angola, Ghana, Sudan, Egypt, Oman, Canada, the United States and Britain.
Dennis Thomas is the owner and Managing Director of Hunter Personnel (UK) Ltd., and has held senior managerial positions in mines in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Nigeria and Iran.
Hunter Personnel is one of the worId’s leading staff recruitment and placing agencies, and has contacts with professional engineers and geologists worldwide.
Barrie Thompson, a chartered mechanical engineer, is currently chairman and chief executive of his own consulting engineering company, having worked for Shell Research Ltd for 17 years. His research and development covered, in particular, the transport and storage of liquid gas and the application of fuels in industry. His latter years with Shell were concerned with the company’s international markets.

The Service
The service supplied by UGA is aimed at the initial stages of exploration for the earth’s natural resources. UGA is providing a service which is designed to assist in the search for minerals and oil. The initial stages of an exploration programme can often be problematic, especially in areas where no previous development has been undertaken. One difficulty often faced is knowing which areas to select, and sometimes more importantly, which areas to avoid. Prior indications as to which parts of a region constitute exploration targets with a better chance of success than others can be critical, especially where the areas concerned are remote and exploration budgets are limited. In today’s economic climate, the optimum value of each and every exploration dollar has to be realised. UGA provides a way of initiating an exploration programme so that the second and subsequent stages of that programme can be carried out with the best possible cost-effectiveness.

UGA’s clients
UGA’s services are seen as most applicable to those organisations which are responsible for large exploration areas or multi-mineral target identification. Into this category fall national or provincial governments, ministries of government responsible for mineral or fuel developments, organisations responsible for national resource surveys, and public or private companies with extensive portfolios of exploration target areas.
It is stressed that UGA, by exclusively making available the services of Uri Geller, is providing an alternative aid to the optimisation of exploration success and budgetary effectiveness.
Other aids exist, such as conventional remote sensing, regional airborne geophysical surveying, and so on. However, these are all high-cost options, which require sophisticated, costly technology and interpretation in terms of equipment and staffing, and it is realised that there are many organisations which are currently unable to fulfill their requirements or functional obligations in the field of exploration because of these financial constraints. In these cases, minimising exploration expenditure is even more important, and UGA has been established to provide this service.

The UGA programme
Preliminary Phase
UGA appoints a Programme Director to discuss the objectives of the search with the client. A site visit is made, and relevant maps, historical information and geological reports are reviewed. On completion of this review, a schedule for Uri Geller is drawn up with the client. The timing of this phase will be dependent on the overall scale of the programme, but will normally be several weeks.
Main Phase
The objective of this phase is for Uri Geller to indicate those areas where the potential for exploration for a particular material is best. This involves a number of weeks of intense study of the data supplied about the whole exploration region, this being followed up, once initial target zones have been selected, by on site investigation and confirmation of the potential of these zones.
Final Phase
A report on the recommendations generated by Uri Geller’s studies is prepared for, and submitted to the client approximately four weeks after the completion of the Main Phase of the work. Having indicated those areas which hold enhanced potential or, conversely, those that do not, conventional exploration techniques can then be used for follow-up investigation of indicated target areas.
Uri Geller and Science
In the scientific community, Uri Geller has raised questions that are unanswered by the limits of our present knowledge.
Time and time again he has demonstrated his ability under rigorously scientifically-controlled conditions not only to manipulate metallic objects but also to locate previously hidden samples of oil and items containing precious metals or stones.
The following quotations from eminent scientists from around the world give but a small indication of his achievements:
Wernher von Braun (NASA). “Geller has bent my ring in the palm of my hand without ever touching it Personally, I have no scientific explanation for the phenomena.”
Wilbur Franklin Ph.D. (Physics Department, Kent State University). “The evidence based on metallurgical analysis of fractured surfaces (produced by Geller) indicates that a paranormal influence must have been operative in the formation of the fractures. “
Harold Puthoff Ph.D. and Russell Targ (Stanford Research Institute). “As a result of Geller’s success in this experimental period, we consider that he has demonstrated his paranormal perceptual ability in a convincing and unambiguous manner.”
Friedbert Karger Ph.D. (Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, West Germany). “Based on preliminary investigations of Uri Geller, I cannot establish fraud. The powers of this man are a phenomenon which theoretical physics cannot yet explain”.
Albert Ducrocq Ph.D. (Telemetry Laboratory, Foch Hospital, Suresnes, France). “The bends in metal objects (made by Geller) could not have been made by ordinary manual means.’
Professor John B Hasted(Birkbeck College, University of London). “The Geller method of breaking steel is unlike anything described in the (metallurgical) literature, from fatigue fractures -195º to brittle fractures +600ºC …. Why is metal bending important? Simply because we do not understand it.”
Eldon Byrd (U.S. Naval Surface Weapons Center, Maryland). ” Geller altered the lattice structure of a metal alloy in a way that cannot be duplicated. There is no present scientific explanation as to how he did this.” (This is the first research related to parapsychology conducted at a US Government facility to have been released for publication by the U.S. Department of defense).
Walter A. Frank Ph.D. (Bonn University). “The Geller Effect is one of those “PARA “phenomena which changed the world of physics. What most outstanding physicists of the last decades of this century could grasp only as theoretical implication, Uri Geller brought it as fact into everyday life.”
Narrative of the official Stanford Research Institute Film, Menlo Park, California. Experiments with Uri Geller. “On each of the twelve targets, the ball bearing, the magnet and the water, he did make a guess as to the target location and was correct in every instance. The whole array of this run had an a priori probability of 1 part in 10¹² or odds of a trillion to one. In another double blind experiment, a die was placed in a metal file box (both die and box being provided by S.R.I.). The box was shaken up with neither the experimenter nor Geller knowing which face landed up. Out of ten trials in which he passed twice and guessed eight times, the eight guesses were correct. It gave us a probability of about one in a million. We again point out that there were no errors when Geller made guesses.”
Professor Mittenecker (University of Graz, Austria). “Uri Geller is extraordinarily gifted in telepathy.’
The scientific observations on the paranormal powers of Uri Geller are detailed in “THE GELLER PAPERS”, published by Houghton Mifflin Company.
THE NEW YORK TIMES (editorial)
“The scientific community has been put on notice that there is something worthy of their attention and scrutiny’ in the possibilities of extra-sensory perception. With those words the respected British journal ‘Nature’ called on scientists to join – or refute – millions of non-scientists who believe human consciousness has more capabilities for real perception than the live senses.”
