David Stanley, Elvis’ step brother, recalls his personal loss at the

death ofthe man who ruled the world of rock.

“I started started training under Elvis prsonally because he was an eigth-Dan blackbelt by then. I was like a fish to water, I just adapted to it and loved it. You know, everyone who was with Elvis had something. Uri Geller was his spiritual guide, my brother Ricky was a communications-type guy but Elvis and I had that common bond. I was one of the only people he ever promoted to blackbelt.
