Uri Geller reveals if he will try to bend the Coronation Spoon with mind powers
Crowds have gathered across London, bunting is out in full force and the Coronation Quiche has been baked for the occasion.
On May 6, millions will watch on as the coronation of King Charles is broadcast across the world.
And there is one artifact involved in the historic day which will hold great significance for the one and only Uri Geller.
The mystic – who became famous due to his spoon-bending tricks – will be keeping an eye on the ceremony from his home in Israel.
He has promised not to interfere as the King and Queen Camilla are anointed with oil – from Jerusalem – from a very special piece of cutlery.
Speaking from a bustling flea market in Old Jaffa, Uri told Metro.co.uk: ‘Some people say I will bend the spoon. Well, you never know! It will be interesting, imagine if it bends.
‘But I have washed my hands of things like that now.’
While Uri has promised not to cause mischief with the royal spoon, he will keep a close eye on proceedings.
