Geller’s crooked craftsmanship shows up again
If seeing is believing, it looks like Uri Geller is up to his old tricks. The mind-bending spoon-bender, who divided the nation in the Seventies with his crooked craftsmanship, showed up again up on Beyond Belief, Carlton Television’s new programme probing the paranormal.
Once more the Israeli wunderkind called on the nation to get out their cutlery in the name of the zeitgeist. One of our reporters duly did, keen to test the man’s psychic forces.
He stroked and stroked his spoon in accordance Geller’s instructions but nothing happened – until the following day when he went to a locksmiths to get a new key for his flatmate and found his own key was bent, yes bent – not completely, but curled at the bottom.
Our reporter, who swears this story is true, did not get his key out during the TV experiment – but left it in his coat pocket all night.
Weird, huh?
