Watch repaired

TIME had stood still for a watch owned by Marjorie Jones – until she watched a TV programme featuring Uri Geller.
Within minutes of following his instructions, the watch – which hadn’t worked for 25 years started ticking away merrily much to the amazement of self-confessed sceptic Marjorie.
“My sister was with me at the time, and at first we couldn’t believe it. She gave me the watch as a present and naturally I was upset when it stopped working,” said Marjorie, of Llanrhos.
“I put it away in a drawer and left it there for 25 years until I saw Uri Geller on television.”
The internationally famous spoon bender urged viewers to place
broken watches and clocks on top of their TV sets and then used his psychic powers to bear to try to get them working again.
“I fetched the watch and did what he said just for a laugh really – I’ve seen him on TV before butalways thought that he used some sort of trick to bend the spoons and so on, but now I’m not so sure, Marjorie added.
“When I saw the watch was working, I was staggered. I couldn’t believe it, and neither could my sister”
